Webdesign and Programming
The base receipe for every website is: Powerful contents, great appereance and useful functions. Our method is rapid prototyping: We avoid mistakes as early as possible to focus on the real problem and to reduce mass.
- Analyse information
- Content shapes the website. We analyze information before anything else. Our customers give us as much information as possible at this early stage, so we are able to focus on the real problem and to find out the optimal design.
- Find the big idea
- It is very important to define the vision, the big idea of the website, which will guide the decisions we make and to keep the website on a consistent path.
- Visual identity
- After content analysis, we give the website a character, which is called a visual identity: the logo, colours, typography and layout are consistent with the message of the website. Customers can judge our draft of the website before anything else will be produced.
- The cooking process
- It is not good to rush into programming. We go from brainstorming to paper sketches to Photoshop drafts to HTML to coding. This process can be cycled multiple times for iterative versions. We don't like functional specifications and dead paperwork. We build. We don't write. We just go with the flow.
- Server configuration
- We help customers to get the best server for the best price. We provide configuration, domain name activation and maintenance.
- Programming
We provide modular programming (PHP) of each module required, starting from the core: Essentials come first, extras second. We use a customised branch of the Seagull framework for our websites.- After launch
- Done? No. One month after launch we update the website with bugfixes, added features and usability enhancements. Feedback from visitors and log files tell us how to improve the website.
